We’re excited to announce that for the second year we will be helping judge the

Diamonds Do Good Real Stories. Real Diamonds. Real Impact. Contest!

I remember the day we got engaged like it was yesterday. We were on the sandy shores of New Jersey with both of our families meeting for the first time. Scott asked me to go for a morning walk on the beach where he declared his love to me. As the waves lapped at the shores of New Jersey, he recapped our love story and got down on one knee, asking for my hand in marriage. We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating our love surrounded by our families. I know I love to tell that story to everyone, and Diamonds Do Good wants you to tell YOUR story to the world too! The best part? They’re sending the winning couple on a Canadian adventure of a lifetime!

Learn about the Real Impact diamonds have in Canada’s North

While the country’s beauty is no secret, many people are surprised to learn that Canada is one of the world’s largest producers of natural diamonds.

The Northwest Territories are perched along the edges of the arctic circle, and the land is blanketed in snow 8 months out of the year.

But beneath the earth’s surface, diamonds – billions of years old – lie waiting to be released.

Conservation: Diamond companies protect 3X the amount of land they utilize for business.

Culture: Strict guidelines for diamond mining practices protect the sanctity of the land and honor the culture of indigenous communities.

Community: Diamond mines have purchased $13.8 billions in goods and services from Northern indigenous companies, and share 25% of royalties with indigenous governments.
