We looked up at the sky, hands waving above our heads, a starry night shining through. The thump of the bass could be felt through every single inch of our bodies. It was a typical night in Ibiza Spain, filled with love, laughter, and LOTS of dancing. If you’re looking for an incredible holiday, Ibiza is the place for you. Known as the party capital of the world, the white city comes to life in the summer months. But it’s not only the club scene that makes Ibiza so special.

Ibiza is part of the Balaeric Islands, along with Mallorca, Menorca, and Formentera. This group of islands is known for their mystical Mediterranean waters, incredible Iberian cuisine, and fun loving atmosphere.

How to Get There: Many airlines fly direct to Ibiza Spain from major European cities (Barcelona, Madrid, London, Rome, Dublin, to name a few). The ferry from Barcelona is an ~8 hour overnight boat trip.

Where to Stay:

Ibiza is filled with luxurious hotels, but you don’t need to be Tiesto to afford this island.

For the budget traveler: Conserve your money for the hotels since you’ll barely be in your rooms on this party island. Book a stay at the Hostal Valencia, a TripAdvisor top pick. Or for apartment living at its finest, choose the seaside apartments of La Sirena Apartamentos.

For the luxury traveler: Take your pick from dozens of luxurious hotels! For the person who loves their privacy, try Hotel Mirador De Dalt Vila. Not far from the action, this exceptional Relais & Chateau boutique hotel is nestled in the ancient Dalt Vila. pick ultra-lux Hotel Hacienda Na Xamena. Located on the north end of the island, you can sip a cocktail on the edge of a cliff, while watching the sunset over the Mediterranean.

If you want to be close to the action, try ultra-chic jetset hotspot hotels like Destino from Pacha and Ushuaia Hotel. These hotels promise non-stop beats and lots of fun.

Where to Eat:

El Olivo – You cannot visit the Mediterranean without noshing on the world’s best olives! This Dalt Vila eatery is tucked away in the ancient walled part of the city, Dalt Vila.

Giri Café – The Giri Café is located in the chic center of the island. This Moroccan-influenced restaurant has fresh seafood and fresh, organic ingredients from around the island.

Bambuddha Grove – This bohemian supper club is a dressier spot for Ibiza regulars and celebrities. Don’t be surprised if Steve Angello is at the table next to you.

Yemanja – By far, the best Paella we’ve EVER had. Order the paella and cava sangria and then head over to Blue Marlin next door to continue the party.

Where to Tour:

Playa Salinas – One of the best beaches in all of Ibiza. Ride your motor scooter down here, take your top off, and stay a while on this picturesque white sand beach.

Dalt Vila – This ancient part of Ibiza is completely walled, but you don’t have to jump a fence these days to get in. Enjoy a lovely afternoon stroll (completely with local wine) or take in the wonderful views of the harbor.

Rent a boat! – Rent a boat and tour the island with Boats Ibiza. Check out the caves from years past where allegedly, people would smuggle drugs onto the island. Or take the boat to nearby island, Formentera, and enjoy a delightful lunch at Tiburon. After lunch, burn off the calories with some tubing!

Amnesia – The name says it all. This mega club welcomes a worldly crowd to dance for hours on end to the worlds best DJ’s. The party starts pumping around 2 am and goes past sunrise.

Pacha – An Ibiza staple, Pacha picks the worlds best DJ’s for nightly themed parties.

Booom! – Two former Pacha alum created this incredible club. Expect to see greats like Luciano and Erick Morillo perform at this new VIP club.

Space – If you still find yourself awake at 5 am (very likely in Ibiza), head over to Space where the party continues all day. Space was awarded the “best global club,” and has outposts around the world.

Ushuaia – The vibe is always bumping at this hotel & club. Join the worlds best DJ’s that start spinning while the sun is still high. If you’re too tired to bring your dancing shoes home, bunk up at one of the elegant suites in the hotel.
