THE ROOMS

Nothing about Xanadu is ordinary, especially the guest suites. The suites are located in an energy efficient dome design and are equipped with a spacious living room and dining area, fully equipped kitchen with everything you could ever need, and a heavenly bed to cradle you in comfort. This isn’t a typical hotel room, they’re actual homes designed for all of your needs. You have your choice of studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom suites. Plus, every suite is equipped with free wifi!

Our favorite part about the rooms (other than the AMAZING bed) was the kitchen! We’ve stayed in dozens of hotels and Air BNB’s, but this was the most fully equipped kitchen we have ever seen. You have access to pots and pans, dishes, a blender, coffee maker, toaster, and much more. Xanadu makes life simpler for their guests in every single way. We loved the convenience of cooking breakfast in our suite or being able to cook a delicious dinner right in the comfort of our own home.

At Xanadu, you even have an outdoor oasis of your own. Your own private deck is complete with lounge chairs, a table for outdoor eating, and a heavenly hammock.

While you’re usually restricted to a small hotel room while traveling, we loved having the space to spread out and feel like we had found our home at Xanadu. One of the best parts about the suites is that they are soundproof, ensuring an undisturbed stay, even if you have noisy neighbors!

THE SERVICE

Xanadu is a boutique family run hotel and because of that, they treat all their guests as family. Jamel and Melanie at the front desk felt like family throughout our week at Xanadu as they made sure that all of our needs were met with ease. Because of its boutique nature, the staff gets to know each individual personally – their likes and dislikes, and makes sure to cater to every wish.

The team at Xanadu is always available to curate the best activities, adventures, and experiences for your stay.

THE LOCATION

Located on the island of Ambergris Caye just one mile south of the town of San Pedro Belize, you are close enough to the action of town, but far enough way to enjoy a peaceful stay. This oceanfront resort is in the perfect location for your retreat.

GREEN GLOBE CERTIFIED

This socially responsible resort goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of the environment they inhabit. They provide guests with reusable containers for coffee and condiments, provide free drinking water to guests without wasting dozens of plastic water bottles, and use solar water heaters and Zero Energy Units to heat water. By staying at Xanadu, you get to experience nature at its finest, while supporting the natural eco-system.

THE POOL

Xanadu boasts an exotic freshwater heating swimming pool for you to enjoy. Sit back and relax in one of their lovely lounge chairs or spend the day marinating in the Belizean sun.

ACTIVITIES

The luxury resort provides their guests with complimentary access to exciting activities.

Head over to the activity desk to enjoy one of Xanadu’s complimentary bicycles, kayaks, or standup paddleboards. You can even use Xanadu’s snorkel gear to snorkel around the resorts private dock.

If you want to venture out of Xanadu, the incredible staff will arrange scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, fishing, or guided eco-tours to the jungle or Mayan ruins. Just let the staff know exactly what you want and they will grant your every wish and desire.

ROMANCE

Xanadu is an extremely romantic hotel nestled in the west Caribbean Sea. Take a walk out to the end of Xanadu’s private dock and sip cocktails in their overwater bungalow. This island oasis is the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or host a wedding.

HOW TO GET THERE
